TESV:Skyrim - Whiterun Atmospherics

After developing the initial concepts for Whiterun, world artist Clara Struthers built the basic geometry and layout of Whiterun. After getting pretty far along we decided to do a paint over to add some details and atmospherics like snow, lighting, clouds, uneven roof tiles, etc. We even added some characters to give some hints of story possibilities as well. (I like to think that if Adam and I were Nords in Skyrim that would be the two of us late at night down in the right hand corner)

Is the 'paint over' a post render visit to photoshop or a next level of texture map detailing? and, are the characters rendered or painted?
Sweet piece of Art, I love the Thomas Kinkade atmosphere but with the scene being, well, as it is...

Hey Bayard, Basically I took a screenshot from the game and painted over it to quickly illustrate how these elements could be implemented. The characters were drawn and painted by me from scratch.

Just beautiful. I feel this atmosphere when I walk through Whiterun and I'm still playing after all this time. Are the two bottles sitting next to you or Adam? :) Thanks again for sharing, Ray.

He, Ray! Is it your art - http://upyourpic.org/images/201303/fmvl3t72w5.jpg ? If yes, can you publish it? I love this art so much.
