Hi all, here's a thing I just finished. Zombies vs Cowboys! This is a piece I did for my good friend William Harms. His book will be published late this year or early 2009. You may see another variant cover emerge in October...:) I included a version with temp lettering just to give an indication of layout. I won't be handling that stuff in the end. Anyway thanks or looking -Ray
Also here's a time lapse video of my chaotic process of painting if you're interested:)
I think this turned out great Ray. Very atmospheric. I really like the lightening. And exploding zombie head. (I was a little less certain if zombies would have such healthy, turgid, intact looking tongues or not... Feels like it should at least be black or something.. :-)
Hey, I see you registered on twitter. Tweet! Tweet! I say. (It's actually pretty darn fun and mildly addictive. You're missing out not actually using it).
Ray! I commented on this on the Skuntch Blog. Obviously, the subject matter is spot-on for me. So cool, brother! But - I wanted to ask you to post the initial sketch! We just got a glimps of it in the YouTube vid. Pleeeaaassseee... :D
That is freakin' fantastic. Hell of a cover. Thank you for the time lapse, it was great to see your process. Glad I found the blog, I'll keep checking in.
